Halfway through our Season on Saturday, voting took place for our 4th Annual All-Star evening event. With the new voting rules, two players would be peer voted, one roster spot would be chosen by the team's captain (AL: Paul Castellano, NL: Sam Skibbe), and the final spot would be given to the player with the best stats heading into the all star break. Here were the chosen rosters:
American League: Gus Skibbe (Pitcher, AL Top Vote Getter), Alex Heck (EH, Fan Voted), Chris Meador (LF, Captain Selection), Ty Butler (RF, Stats Selection)
National League: Peter Leicht (LF, NL Top Vote Getter), Blake Spencer (RF, Fan Voted), Brett Spencer (Pitcher, Captain Selection), Patrick Gatti (EH, Stats Selection)
It was the American League's turn as the home team, but it wouldn't matter as the American League would have completely dominated no matter where they were. This was one of the worst All-Star game performances from the National League as alcoholic consumption throughout the day gave way to the American League win and their prize of home field advantage in the SWBL Championship.
